Sagarmatha Children Home (SCH) is a non-profit social organization established in the year 2003 which provides home for the abandoned homeless and orphan children of Nepal. Sagarmatha Children Home was established with this understanding and through the initiation of a group of people who strongly believe their obligation towards society, in general, and towards thousands of children who are forced to live in difficult circumstances. SCH’s at present, runs a children home at Katunje, Bhaktapur Ward no. 9. The organization has established its residential care service for children who are orphaned and without parental care. The service offers residential care, education, health and recreational facilities to the children. SCH provides a home for these abandoned and orphaned children with the aim to provide them with basic human rights such as health services, shelter, food and above all education, love and care, so that they may have a better future.
SCH’s wants to co-operate and collaborate with local authorities and members of the community to offer a chance at life and a new start to orphans children. We aim to give them a first class education, access to necessary health services and above all, the opportunity to grow up healthy and happy in a safe, caring, warm and familiar environment.
At present it protects 24 children. Children from age 3 years to 15 years are under SCH’s care. Care is also provided to special needs children and school going children. SCH aims to provide a good environment for children to grownup mentally, physically and academically. All together nine office staff is taking care and managing care of 24 children
